The Espresso Martini’s origin story is as much a pick-me-up as the drink itself. In 1980s London, a weary model supposedly requested a drink that would “wake me up and then f*ck me up.” Legendary bartender Dick Bradsell rose to the challenge, and the Espresso Martini – a potent blend of coffee kick and vodka chill – was born.
60ml Melbourne Vodka
15ml Coffee Liqueur
30ml Espresso, freshly brewed (or cold brew concentrate)
15ml Simple Syrup
Add Melbourne Vodka, coffee liqueur, espresso and simple syrup to a shaker filled with ice and shake until well-chilled. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with 3 coffee beans.
