Invented at New York’s Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in the early 1900s in honour of silent movie comedy star Charlie Chaplin, the uplifting combination of apricot liquor, citrus and dry gin infused with sloe berries has remained a popular order in upscale bars ever since. Our shiraz-spiked variation brings an extra measure of complexity and nuance that would make Charlie Chaplin proud.
30ml Australian Distilling Co. Shiraz Gin
30ml Apricot Brandy
30ml Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
Combine all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice and shake hard for 5 seconds. Double strain into a chilled coupette glass. Garnish with a lime wheel.
